Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has become one of the fastest growing disability yet providers continue to be confused about the characteristics and how to clinically treat the many symptoms. Professionals with a mental health background treat it as if it was a mental illness. Experts in the field of intellectual disabilities focus on techniques used in that field.
